At K.I.T.E, we are on a mission to empower the next generation with knowledge in cutting-edge technology. We focus on educating high school students about computer science topics such as Machine Learning, coding languages, data structures, web development, and more. Meet the Founders
Shashwath - President/Founder
While presenting at a research conference at MIT, Shashwath discovered the large discrepancy between how some high schools teach computer science education and how his high school taught computer science. Since his school didn’t have many resources to teach students about computer science, he mainly had to learn how to code outside of the classroom. This inspired him to start KITE, an online community where interested students can learn how to code for free.
Armaan - V.P. / Cofounder
Armaan is a good friend of Shashwath, and he also found the large disparity between how well different high schools teach computer science disturbing. They decided to partner together to create a non-profit that would teach students how to code. Piled with his love for coding and his drive to help his community he aspires to create an impact with our upcoming work!
Anmol - Head of Ambassadors
Recognizing the significant disparities in computer science education among high schools, Anmol felt compelled to take action. Inspired by his love for coding and his desire to support his community, he decided to team up with Armaan and Shashwath to create KITE. With unwavering determination, he aspires to make a tangible impact by empowering students with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in the digital age.
How We Achieve Our Mission
We operate through chapters established in different high schools nationwide. These chapters serve as hubs for knowledge dissemination, where our dedicated chapter leaders play a pivotal role. Our leaders utilize materials available on our website or create their own, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging learning experience for students.
K.I.T.E is not just about lessons; we believe in the power of hands-on learning and networking. To complement our educational efforts, we organize events such as hackathons, conferences, and seminars. These gatherings provide students with opportunities to apply their knowledge, connect with like-minded peers, and gain insights from industry professionals.
